Obituary of Kayla Christina Mavretic

Kayla gained her wings Friday May 5th, at 27 years young. Peacefully at home with her parents by her side. A 2 time organ donor recipient, she lived life to the fullest in honor of them.

Kayla is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Jennifer Mavretic of Kanata; brother AJ Mavretic (April) and sister Courtney Mcritchie (Chris); paternal grandparents Bonnie and Larry Mavretic, Sault Ste Marie and Maternal Grandmother Joan Crookes, Renfrew. Kayla will be fondly remembered by Brittainey, Oksanna, Brandin, her  nieces and nephews, aunties and uncles, cousins and friends.

We would like to thank CCAC and Bayshore H.H. nursing staff and Dr. Katerina Spacek and the Palliative Care Team who made everything so comfortable and took the time to care, listen and get to know Kayla and our family. We are forever grateful for such amazing care.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S, Renfrew on Friday May 12th from 6-9 pm and after 9am Saturday May 13th. A Service in Kayla’s honour will be held at Elmwood Bible Chapel at 11 am. Donations in Kayla’s memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, Trillium Transplant Society.  Online condolences/donations may be made at www.gouletfuneralhome.com

Peacefully sleeping, resting at last,
The world's weary trouble and trials are past,
In silence she suffered, in patience she bore,
Till God called her home to suffer no more.

Her smiling way and pleasant face
Are a pleasure to recall
She had a kindly word for each
And she died beloved by all.

Some day we hope to meet her
Some day we know not when
To clasp her hand in the better land

Never to part again.
