Retired Barker’s Motors Peacefully at Hospice Renfrew on Sunday August 29, 2021, Del Wilson of Renfrew at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Patricia Wilson (nee Yantha). Dearly loved dad of Mark and Derek (Marie Claude). Special father of Kelly (Kim) Johnston and Cathy (Michael) Rousselle. Loving poppa of Johnathan, Kayla, Tyler Johnston and Mark (Jenna) Rousselle, Megan (Jake) Cartman and Breslin Wilson, and Michael (Taylor) Newton. His loving heart will be missed by his 11 great grandchildren. Loving brother of Opal McNulty. Predeceased by his parents David and Margaret Wilson, his brothers Dean and Burt and sister Marguerite. He will be remembered fondly by his mother in law Carmel (late Peter) Yantha and brother and sister in laws Robert, Wayne (Connie), Brian (Debbie), Larry (Sherrill), Clarence (Sandie) Yantha and Dorothy Giroux, Theresa Crowe, Darlene Oattes, Drenda Lorbetskie, Connie Cram, Cindy (Phil) Karraba and Shelley (Greg) Lapenskie. Del will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Del was a devoted family man and had a big heart. He had many careers including an auxiliary police officer, ambulance driver and mechanic but to those who loved him he will be remembered as an excellent chef and baker. Pies, spaghetti sauce, baked goods and much more were often used as currency and how Del showed his love. Until we see you again, hope you’re dancing in the sky. A visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S, Renfrew on Tuesday August 31st from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A Service will be held at Trinity St. Andrews United Church on Tuesday August 31st at 2:30 pm. Interment Thompsonhill Cemetery. Donations in Del's memory may be made to Hospice Renfrew.
