Ray was a wonderful fellow & a great Tennis Player -especially at the net ....nothing got past him & his famous gentle tap of the ball at the net for the winning point earned him the title: "Ray the Net Man"! He would make that point & then Just walk away from the net with that big smile on his face....ever ingrained in our memories. His tennis friends will miss him so much ~as he always had that great smile & something funny to say. His best ever Maple Syrup was a hit with everyone & especially at the year end Pancake & Syrup Tournament to wrap up our indoor tennis. We are blessed to call him friend. Ray's great qualities lives on in his pride & joy...his children & grandchildren. Lianne -you and Ray were just the perfect couple. He so adored you. Keeping You and my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear of Ray’s untimely passing. He was such a kind and gentle man. In all the years he played tennis with us - both outdoors and indoors- I don’t think I ever saw him utter a harsh word. He always had a smile on his face. Ray was a darn good tennis player. No-one was quicker at the net. And we always looked forward to our annual Pancake tournament with his delicious maple syrup. He will leave a big hole in our club and also in everyone hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, Lianne, and your children and grandchildren at this sad time.
