I will never forget calling Aunt Diana and telling her that it was George Gobel calling. She was beside herself when I then corrected myself. She couldn't figure out why George was calling her. She was a great lady. My sincere condolences to all of the family.

With sadness I am sending this note along to the Freemark family on the passing of a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. Diana always held a warm spot in my heart. When we were young & restless, she always knew how to deal with a bunch of rowdy teenage boys & managed to keep us on the straight & narrow, well almost always. My condolences to the Freemark clan.

Dear Tim, Carol, Michael, Judy, David and families,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. We had not seen her at the Bay for a couple of years and she was missed. Both your Mom and Dad provided us with many happy and wonderful memories. I will always remember going into the water at the cottage and Aunt Diana was there with 2 or 3 of her grandchildren and she was so nervous watching them. I said to her "How did you ever manage bringing up 6 kids of your own?" And she replied: "You know, Janie, I was just thinking of that and I really think that the whole time I was bringing up the kids I was in shock, so I really didn't know what I was doing!" I am sure we laughed for 5 minutes after that!! I will always cherish the night on the beach when David and Michael and I reminisced about our parents, our childhood and the many stories we each had. I think if we all got together we could write a book which could be a best selling comedy!!
Unfortunately we cannot be there for the funeral but please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Freemark family, I was saddened to hear of Diana passing away. So many happy memories of our families growing up on Airth Blvd! My mom Dot and Diana were such good friends, and as a child I was always very happy to spend time in Diana’s company. She was unfailingly kind, cheerful, smiling and funny. How well I remember Diana and my mom sharing endless cups of coffee at your kitchen table. Always black coffee, mind you, as they were constantly « reducing »!
