Bryce and I were really good friends in school. A couple of great memories:
Our friend Kirk Cummings only had his beginners license and the three of us wanted to go see Laser Floyd at the Planetarium in Toronto. Our friend Fred was the only one with an actual license and didn't want to go. Kirks parents would only give him the car if he had a licensed driver (as per the law) Well, the three of us told Fred we were going to the mall.. and instead we hopped on the QEW and drove to Toronto. Once we got there Fred took off on us and took the train back to Burlington. Bryce, Kirk and I just stood there looking at each other wondering what to do next... we decided to go to the show :)
And quite possibly the BEST Bryce story, we would spend a lot of time at Chuck E Cheese playing video games. Bryce has all of the boards memorized for PAC-MAN. He was on a roll! So much so that i had to call his mom to say that Bryce was going to be late for dinner because he was setting records playing PAC-MAN. He played for more than 4 hours on 1 single quarter! It was amazing!
Like a lot of people we drifted apart and didn't see each other after high school. I heard about the accident and would still see him time to time when I worked at Shoppers. I am deeply saddened at his passing.

Bryce was my best friend in grades 5 through 8. Together with our friend Doug we were an imaginative bunch! The summer of 1979 was the happiest of my childhood. We had a falling out before grade 9 but we reconnected in high school as we were in a theatre class together. I was so sad to hear about his accident many years ago, and truly sorry to hear of his passing. I would love to send his family copies of photos and some of the crazy doodling we did, and to share some memories. Reach out at seanraleigh at Hotmail.com any time.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your brother Bryce . Your family has endured so much loss . Your father Keith was my boss at Sears so many years ago. He was so loved and respected by all of us . He was so proud of his children and spoke often about you all. Bryce will be welcomed by your mom and dad with loving arms. He is in a safe place hopefully that gives you comfort
