Thomas Prince posted a condolence

I grew up on Barr Street in Renfrew. Peter was slightly older than I am but I fondly remember Peter. In those days the Town Recreation Department had a playground supervisor at Queen Elizabeth School during the summer months. The neighbourhood children would gather there including Peter. Peter often wore a cowboy hat with a pistol and holster. On one occasion there was a quick draw contest and Peter won.
My grandfather, also Thomas Prince, was Clarence's uncle. I also remember phoning my Aunt Martha who was a Holy Cross nun in Cold Lake, Alberta. An operator arranged the call. The operator was either Florence or Vi Litkey. She stayed on the line during the call and also chatted with Aunt Martha. They knew one another very well.
Yes, Peter's was a life well lived.

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing. Growing up I spent many times at the family home in Renfrew; a good friend of his brother, Michael. Peter, Michael and I shared in games of road hockey with other neighborhood kids. Peter was a likeable guy, very gentle. Met him in Wal-Mart several years ago when he was there with a group from the Grove. It was so nice to see him. My condolences to his sister-in-law, Monica and to his nieces, nephews and friends. God bless him.

I first met Peter when I started working in maintenance at Groves Park. We quickly became friends as most people did with Peter. Always enjoyed spending time with him while getting his TV going or setting up his Easter and Christmas displays with his many animated characters. Even after my retirement I would drop in for the odd quick visit and he always remembered me. He will be missed by so many people. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
