Obituary of Johannes Aloysius Steiniger

Peacefully in Ottawa on Thursday June 29th, 2017 at the age of 89.  Cherished companion of 40 years to the late Joey Peplinski  (August 10, 2016).  John was born in Germany and was the son of the late Ludger and Anna Steiniger.  Dear brother of Gunter of Germany and sister in law of Erika of Buffalo, N.Y.  He will be fondly remembered by the Peplinski family and his nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Germany.  Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home on Thursday July 6th from 11:00 am until 12:15pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Douglas on Thursday at 1pm.  Interment , Parish Cemetery.  Donations in memory of John may be made to the Elizabeth Bruyere Foundation
