It was the summer of 1977. I was playing at the White House in Renfrew. A family friend named Reggie Wright stop in to listen. He was working up north and at that time i hadn't seen him for a long time. When i first started playing i would play for him and his family in Catalogue. He was staying at the hotel for a week or so at that time and had asked me to come play for him and his friends in his room once i finished playing. At that time i was playing a borrowed guitar and explained to Reggie that i had to return it and couldn't play fir him. He said "we cant have that happen..you go to the music store and pick out a guitar" i told him i couldn't do that. He then told me that he he had too he would go and pick one out but he knew nothing about guitars. I had my eye on a guitar at Steve St Michaels shop so we called him and Steve even delivered it to the room. Reggie paid Steve and the only thing he asked me was that i never get rid of it because i would always need a guitar. I promised him i wouldnt and still have it to this day it is my main guitar and has been all ive Canada and the US with me. Ill charrish forever and hope to leave it to my grandson. Thanks Reggie
