Obituary of Marion Laura (Rickman) Ferguson

It is with sorrow we share that Marion died at Groves Park Lodge on December 18 in the afternoon with family at her side. Marion is predeceased by her mother Laura Rickman and father Harold Rickman. Marion will be missed by her brothers Bob Rickman, (Annette), and Ron Rickman.

Marion was predeceased by her husband Eldon Ferguson (Separated). Marion leaves three children Kelly Ferguson, Bob Ferguson (Petrena Ferguson), James Ferguson (Dr. Margaret Ferguson) behind who will miss her resilience, humour and rejection of things sentimental. Marion leaves behind 4 grandchildren. Maya Ferguson Klinowski, Owen Ferguson Klinowski, Skye Ferguson, and Ronin Ferguson. Marion had a difficult life and mental health challenges with the accompanying isolation and stigma. Marion had good friends who were generous and kind to her. They shared laughter and jokes through the years. Marion found a safe place in the Renfrew Public Library in the Children’s section. Marion had a deep love of animals and fed and watered, squirrels, a ground hog named Emily and a sea gull Bert. Marion spent her last years at Groves Park Lodge and the staff PSW’s and nurses were kind to Marion and she made them laugh.
