Obituary of Raymond Richard Albert

On June 15th, 2021 at 5:55 am my beloved husband, Raymond "Ray" Albert passed away; with forehead to my forehead and hand in my hand he took his last breath as peacefully as my beautiful husband deserved. Ray took my heart with him and a piece of my soul when he left. Husband to Kelly Albert, Step-Dad (minus the step and really more dad) to Christopher Barr (Chelsey), Kalyn Livingstone (Ken) and Braden Barr (Ashley). Also cherished by his "other" son Brandon Covert (Amber). Amazing proud Poppa to Priya, Sean, Ryvonne, Reuben, Grace, Jahari and Oakleigh. Also a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle to his dearly loved Albert family, and much loved brother-in-law to Bonnie and Allan Page. Perhaps best known to our beloved community as "Poppa Ray", he loved sharing his homemade food with anyone and one bite you were hooked. I love him, his family loved him, his community loved him. Ray you are irreplaceable and sorely missed. There are many friends that touched Ray's life whom he loved like family - I would like to make special mention to his buddy Mike Adams, who cooked right by his side, did the fish shuffle every Friday night and became an irreplaceable help in getting Ray to and from so, so many appointments - and Dorothy Adams, he loved and appreciated you dearly. To Bucky, your friendship was everything to Ray, as was the many friends and acquaintances he made through the years through the Renfrew Flea Market. Lastly - Sanka and George - friends always, friends to the end. He knew he could always depend on you. Raymond... you were so, so loved." A Memorial visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S, Renfrew on Saturday June 26th from 2-4 pm. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, 15% CAPACITY IS PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY ONE TIME- FACE MASKS/COVERINGS ARE REQUESTED FOR THE FUNERAL HOME.
