Obituary of Robert Harold Ingram

After a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes, Robert Harold Ingram, died peacefully and surrounded by family on March 14, 2022 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Bob was the only son of Kenneth Handley Ingram and Juliette (Laporte). After losing his father to a military accident in France, 8 year old Bob and his mom moved to Renfrew, Ontario. It was there that he met his life partner and the love of his life, Beverly (Brydges) at age 13. Tragedy struck the young couple when they lost their first infant son, Kenneth Boyd Ingram. A year later, they welcomed their son, David (Karen) into the world, shortly followed by Robert (Lisa) and then Jason (Natalie). Bob was the best father anyone could have asked for. Whether he was teaching his boys to hunt and fish, watching them from the stands at minor hockey game or a participating in a basement play, he was always so proud and supportive of them. As a grandfather to Krysten, Jordan, Braeden, Liam, Emma, Kenny, Carter, Paige, and a great-grandfather to Alexa; Bob continued to be a wonderful example of love, dedication and support. In memory of Bob, should you wish, perform an act of kindness for someone who really needs it, call your Mom, hug your loved ones, share a family dinner and abundant laughter. Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S Renfrew on Friday March 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church Renfrew on Saturday March 19th at 10:30 am. Spring interment Parish Cemetery. Please be aware that masks are required for the funeral home and church. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or Cancer Society.
