I was unpacking from my moms place this morning and found some labels I could use at work. When I pulled them out of the packing box this heart (never seen it ever!) was stuck to my finger with some residual glue.
The Haunting begins! Love you too mom.

Anna and Ian Fraser. Would like to send our condolences to Krista and family. It had been a long time since we had spent any time together but we had shared a lot of good times together. Her quick whit and sense of humour could not be beat! May the memory of her sweet smile bring you peace.

Krista and family,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. Mavis was the lifeblood of scheduling RVH nursing staff, a role she perfected. When you asked her advice it was delivered with a dose of caution, a dollop of wit and a dash of kindness. She had a wonderful infectious laugh. Cherish your memories and know she was very proud of you, Krista.

Mavis was with me in peaceful spirit for a brief moment early this morning and it made me smile to think of her. Now I read of her passing and feel the sorrow of her loss. Mavis’s beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know her unconditional and courageous love. We will remember her indomitable spirit, lovely smile and quick wit. Prayers for her family and friends. God bless.

Dear Krista, Mary and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Mavis' passing and would like to offer my heartfelt sympathy. We lost touch after high school, but reconnected about 5 years ago and got together for lunch and chats quite a few times, and I'm so glad we did. She was a wonderful friend and she will be missed. I've attached several pictures of Mavis and the other girls in my wedding because I thought you might appreciate some photos from when Mavis was a young girl. This was just a few years after high school way back in 1975. She was a beautiful friend.

Dear Krista, Mary and extended families,
Please accept my sincere sympathy at the passing of Mavis. She was a very special person, and definitely one of a kind. She will be missed.
We had not seen each other in many years, however, we did get to chat by phone a couple of times in the past year, which I’m so thankful for. Memories have a tendency to fade with the passing years, but the passing away of old friends brings about a warm recollection of good times shared, and we did share a lot of good times.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts at this very sad time, and hopefully all the wonderful memories of her will be of comfort to you.
Sincerely,
Ann Webster (Armitage-Shepherd)

Krista, Mary & family, Richard, and to the Hodgins family,
I am so saddened by the loss of Mavis. While we haven't seen each other in years, we did stay in touch through FB. Mavis was my first friend in Kindergarten. I wanted to leave, wasn't having any of it, and Mavis took my hand and said "it's okay. We'll stay together". We were fast and furious friends until about Grade 9, when studies and sports sort of took me in another direction. But there was always that bond, that I'll never forget. She was an important part of my growing up. Bicycling until after dark, first time smoking a cigarette!, (not proud of that moment), neither were Mac & Gwen or Kay & Buzzy! My heart is broken learning this news. I wasn't aware that she was sick, but there was an absence on FB. I am glad your pain is over, Mavis. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
