Obituary of Theadora Gerharda Heebink

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thea Heebink (Otten) on Saturday March 27, 2010 at the age of 75 after a very brave battle with leukemia. Predeceased by her husband Stef; dear mother of Paul (Melanie), Palma (Richard Afelskie) & Petra (Bill Murray). Cherished Oma of Derek (Miranda & great-grandson Gavyn), Brennan, Hillary and Marijke. Survived by brothers and sisters Ben (Diny), Victor (Willeke), Paul(Reina, deceased), Gerda(Frank), Mieke(Jan, deceased). Predeceased by brother Wim(Trees, deceased) Thea married Stef in the Netherlands in 1958 and immigrated to Canada as a 23 year old newlywed. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, tending her flower gardens and spending time at home with her many hobbies. Thea was a woman of great strength and independence; her quiet courage and resolve serve as an inspiration to us all.
