Shirley and Rodger were married 60 years at the time of his passing (2021). She was passionate about her family, friends (Marilyn and Chummy Welch and others), neighbours, her pets (survived by her kitty Charlie and her recently departed cat Nicki) and her gardens. She loved nature and exploring with her husband Rodger on the many trips they took in the truck and vacations in Florida and Hawaii. The family thanks Doctor Mushtaq, the nurses and other staff at Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their dedicated attention and care as well as Renfrew paramedics and staff at Champlain Home and Community Care. Donations in Shirley’s memory to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital or the Valley Animal Rescue would be appreciated. Per Shirley’s wishes, a celebration of life for both Rodger and Shirley will take place at a later date. A whisper in my ear Did I hear My dear And for a moment, you were here O, but there was no fear Just your memory and a tear.
