Marcel was my friend, Marcel was everyone's friend. One of the last times I say Marcel was when he came into the store (MILL MUSIC) to chat, he loved to talk and he always looked 20 years younger than he always was. Anyway, Marcel brought me in a tie, a bow tie. It was so cool I started laughing and I said, are you bored, Marcel? He said, no, I just wanted to make you a tie and a tie he made. He carved it out of wood and he had two scissor clips, one on each side to clip to you collar. It is he coolest thing I've ever owned and I wear it from time to time. Thank you, Marcel for being my friend and for loving me enough to make me a lovely cedar bow tie. I will pass it on to my Grandson, Kade! Thanks you, Marcel. I will never forget you because you were a special individual with a heart of gold. Love you, my friend! Steve St. Michael

Joan & family: There are no words to make this news of Marcel’s death easier. Marcel was one of a kind. He was our neighbour for several years & was always ready to lend a helping hand if needed. Of course, he usually had a funny story to tell whenever we walked past your house. He truly was the example of a gentleman. RIP Marcel.

Uncle Marcel was just a good person through and through. I hope him and dad and Fr. Morris are all sitting up in heaven on a deck, overlooking a lake and reminiscing about all the good ol' days. We'll miss him greatly...his warmth, his kindness, his smile.
Our sincere condolences,
Kelly, Luc and Zoe xoxo

My condolences to everyone. Marcel was a great guy. He did a lot of good deeds throughout his life and asked for no recognition in return. I have many joyful memories of Marcel, which will help see me through grief. It was a privilege to have known him, as a member of the family and friend for so long. I will miss him going forth. Rest in Peace. Missing you already.
Love, Renee McCarroll

Marcel was truly an inspiration and role model to so many of us. Kind and compassionate, caring and consoling, his hand always outstretched. We are fortunate to have had him in our lives for such a long time. We all have positive memories and are grateful to Marcel for his influence. We will always remember his slogans, "It's pay back time" and "I'm just building points".
My condolences to Marcel's family. I have no doubt that you will pass through the grey clouds and with time into sunshine again. I am really proud of you and proud to stand by your side during this difficult time. You are strong and although you may not feel this way on the inside, you are extraordinary to the people around you.
In days when you are feeling a little less than your best, remember Marcel and what a great guy he was. I admire your strength and care about you so very much.
Love, Respect and Condolences

Marce was a good friend I used his expertise a few times
He used to walk by our shop in the morning 6,30 or 7 and I would kid him
about going too fast
Wishing his family all my sympathies at this time
REST IN PEACE MARCEL

There are many fond memories. It seems we always knew Marcel due to our families association at Saint James Parish in Portage du Fort. But it was in the early 1980's, when we joined the business community on Lisgar Street in Renfrew, that we became friends. Marcel had a way of brightening up your day with his beaming smile and cheerful personality. He always left you with a story or some heart warming words of wisdom. He will surely be missed. We extend our sincere condolences to Joan, Marcia, Andre and all of Marcel's Family.
May He Rest In Peace
