This letter is on behalf of Danny's surviving family, written by his Niece, Christina.
Dear Uncle Danny,
Thank you for being a light in this world. We simply weren't meant to know each other in this lifetime.
I never got to know you... And I am not sure any of your family really did, but I know deep down just how much you were loved by us and everyone who has ever had a chance to know you.
We truly wished we could be here today, but unfortunately we are all facing disabilities that prevented us form coming.
I want you to know that we plan to get together by video call with my pastor to hold a service for you. I have a feeling my mom, your sister Johanne, will sing for you, because she knows you always loved her singing. Especially "Her Eyes Shine Like Diamonds" by the Irish Rovers. My mom deeply wishes she could have told you how much she loved you, and how sorry she feels that she couldn't be a part of your life here on earth. I mirror those sentiments. Every single time I was with you, you brought me nothing but joy and filled me with awe.
The good news is that we all have faith that you've moved on to the other side, where you will no longer face any pain... And that we will one day join you, and see the beautiful, perfect soul that you are.
Rest well, Uncle Danny. Heaven got a new angle, and your infectious laugh will echoe on forever in our hearts.
