Obituary of Lois Agnel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our gracious, kind, generous and loving Mother and Grandmother, Lois Agnel in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday January 3, 2024 at the age 94. Beloved wife of the late Hubert Agnel (July 19,1998) for 48 years. Dearly loved mom of Jim (Sandra Beiersdorfer) of Victoria BC, Peter (Rosemary) of Arnprior and Mary Ellen (Jeffrey Ladouceur) of Ottawa. Proud and Loving Grandma of Ashley Agnel (Ryan Wood), Matthew Agnel and Sam Agnel (Carly Brkich)

Lois worked and lived all of her life in Renfrew.  In her retirement she gave back to her community by volunteering at the Renfrew Food Bank and the Renfrew Hospital. She was a life-long member of the St. Francis Xavier CWL.  Lois valued time spent with family and friends over her long life. She enjoyed cards with the girls, a nice glass of wine, and a good laugh. 

Lois was predeceased by her parents Adam and Mary Morglan and her sisters and brothers Theresa Larocque, (late Leo), Evelyn Morglan, Bill Morglan (late Teresa) and Tommy Morglan.  She will be fondly remembered by her special cousin Mary Thibeault and her many nieces and nephews. 

Our heartfelt thanks is extended to the PSWs who worked with mom and the staff at both Quail Creek and the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for the love, care, compassion and kindness they demonstrated over these last few years.

In keeping with moms wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday May 10th at 11 am. Interment parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Renfrew Victoria Hospital,  Renfrew Foodbank or a charity of your choice.
