Obituary of Anne Dregas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Dregas, age 47 years, who died peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday February 20,2024.  Anne was the beloved daughter of Stephen and the late Andree (nee Lanctot) Dregas.  She was also the beloved step-daughter of Theresa (Scott) Dregas.  She is survived by her brothers Christopher and David both of Renfrew.

She was also much loved by her uncle Jim (Denise) Dregas of Orleans, Bernadette Ritz (late Larry) of Ottawa,  and her many cousins, step aunts and uncles.

Anne loved life! Firstly she loved her God, regularly attending church services.  She loved to laugh! She loved all animals, her dogs and cats in particular, she also loved to travel and she has a large itinerary of places that she travelled to.  She loved bowling and had many hobbies including making holiday cards, painting, and was a voracious reader. She loved romance novels and had a special interest in reading "Ann Rice". Anne also loved her time at Queensway Carlton Raceway and the casino. She enjoyed being with her many friends from Community Living Renfrew County South, who enjoyed playing cards, games and Radio Bingo with her.

Our special thanks goes to Father Kerry Brennan for his prayers and comfort during this difficult time.  Our special thanks also goes to the staff of Community Living Renfrew County South and Community Care Access Center for their many years of dedicated care and service to Anne.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S Renfrew on Sunday February 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and after 9 am Monday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday February 26 th at 10:30 am. Spring interment parish cemetery. Following the Mass a luncheon will be served in the parish hall
