Obituary of Gary James Costello

Dad passed away in his hometown of Carleton Place, Ontario. He joins his wife of 53 years, Sandra Costello, in their next journey. Dad spent his last days listening to some oldies with his daughter Erin. Some of his favorites were Spanish Eyes, Elvira, Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys, Snowbird, Convoy, Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue, and Me and Bobby McGee.

Dad loved to travel and the family was fortunate to have visited many countries around the world including living in Malawi, Africa. Many happy memories of adventures there! Dad also loved to fish and on one deep sea fishing excursion landed a shark.

Dad always took pride in his work and continued that work ethic when he was “working” at Viva Barrhaven before moving to Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place.Dad will be greatly missed by his close family.

At his request cremation has taken place. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Viva Barrhaven and Stoneridge Manor for the love and care they showed Dad. Donations can be made to the Dementia Society or to a charity of your choice if you wish.
