Obituary of Donald Lowe

Peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria hospital on Monday March 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  Donald age 80, beloved husband of  58 years to Shirrell ( Valliquette).  He will be dearly missed by his sons Tom (Diane), Michael (Barb) and his daughter Cathy LaRiviere (Jamie).  Proud grandpa to Meghan (Dustin), Ryan (Lina), Amber (Braiden), Taylor (Josh) and proud great-grandpa to Toby, Madison, Scottie, Greyson and Nyla.  Donald is predeceased by his parents Bram and Annie, brother David and twin brother Ronald, and his nephews Robert and Steven Lowe.

Brother in law to Diane Lowe (Cam), Margaret "Peg" McIntyre (late Don), Mary Schruder (late Dennis) and the late Leonard and Rose Valliquette.  Donald will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends and neighbours. 

Don found joy playing golf or curling, watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs or Blue Jays.  He enjoyed a game of euchre and a drink of rum and always welcomed friends and family.  Please smile when you think of Don!

A Memorial visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S Renfrew on Monday March 18, 2024 from 9:00 -11:00 am.  A Memorial service will follow at 11:30 at the Little Brown Church. Reception will follow at the Horton Township Community Centre. Donations in Don’s memory may be made to Renfrew Victoria Hospital or Hospice Renfrew.  Online condolences/donations may be made at www.gouletfuneralhome.com
