Obituary of Verna Isobell Gorra

After a life well lived our dear Mom passed away peacefully on Sunday August 11, 2024 at the age of 89. She has gone to join her husband James and her dear son Kelly who predeceased her. Cherished Mom of Norman (Darlene), Ken (Oana), Tommy, Shirley Ann (David Cone) and Carolyn. Loving Grandma of Stacey, Lisa, Nicholas, Jillian, Kyle, Kori, Erica, Cyrena, Tyson, Brody and Brenna. Proud Great-Grandma of 15.  Dear sister of Jack (Joan) Elliott. Predeceased by her siblings Vincent, Keith,  Leola and Alice. Verna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bonnechere Manor for the wonderful care that was provided to our Mom. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St., S Renfrew on Thursday August 15 from 6-8 pm and after 9:00 am Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Church, Calabogie on Friday at 10:30 am. Interment Most Precious Blood Cemetery. Donations in Verna's memory may be made to the Dementia Society or the Cancer Society.
