Obituary of Gordon Wilfred Hawley

After a life well lived, our beloved Dad passed away at Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew a month following his 96th birthday.  He is gone to join his cherished wife Audrey, who predeceased him in 2017. Dear Dad of Wayne (Annie Delantar), Sandra Belton (Bruce Lentz), Murray (Gail), Michael (Evelyn Bruce), Jane (Frank Pirri), and Jennifer (Lino DiNardo).  Predeceased by his loving daughters Sharon Hoare, and  Wendy Ryan and his daughter in law Lee. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his sons in law Terry Ryan and Charlie Taylor. Dear brother of Marie l(late Mac Gorra). Predeceased by his sisters Mabel and Evelyn and brothers Stanley and Howard.

Gordon worked for Ontario Hydro for over 46 years. He enjoyed all of his co-workers and made many friends.  He spent alot of time at his cottage at Lake Clear and had many wonderful seasons there with his family.  He was a great family man who loved to hunt, fish, play cards and he loved being social.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home 310 Argyle St. S, Renfrew on Thursday October 17th from 2-4, 6-8 pm and after 9am Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Renfrew on Friday October 18th at 10:30 am.  Interment Parish Cemetery.  Donations in Gordon's memory may be made to to Groves Park Lodge Auxiliary.
