Obituary of Donald "Don" William Roy

It is with broken hearts that we announce Don's peaceful passing at Hospice Renfrew on Sunday November 17, 2024.  Loving son of the late Dorothy Jean Roy(nee Clifford) and Jerry Arthur Roy (RET. RCAF),  Cherished brother of Douglas "Doug"  Roy and Jackie Bigford and brother in law of  (Wallace "Wally" Bigford).  He will be fondly remembered by his niece Jessica Roy.  Predeceased by his sister in law Lise Rose Nezan.  

Don worked for Hallmark Housekeeping in Ottawa for many years and enjoyed the comradarie of the staff, prior to that he worked for the Department of National Defence.  Don loved sports and enjoyed golfing, watching football, baseball and hockey.  He had a great love for his teams, The Buffalo Bills, Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Cardinals, he never missed watching a game.

Don had a good sense of humour and was a very kind and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private family service will be held in Aylmer. Donations in Don's memory may be made to Hospice Renfrew.
