Obituary of Anna Marie McLellan

Died peacefully with family and friends by her side on September 1, 2010 at the age of 55 years. Dearly beloved daughter of the late T.J. and Frances (Moore) McLellan. Leaving behind two wonderful and loving children Sean Frances (19 years) and Amanda Marie (17 years) and their father Ronald Dowdall. Predeceased by three sisters , Glenyce, Mary and Judy. Survived by my loving brother Dan and his partner Jim Cheng, my loving sister Roberta (Bert) and her husband Jace as well as my two loving nephews Jonathan, Bradley Goulet and loving niece Melissa Goulet-Hand and her wonderful husband Kevin and their beautiful daughter Chelsea. I want to thank my very close, special friends who have walked and talked through this journey with me. Karen Robertson, Judy Rashotte, Cathy Cassidy-Gifford, Margot Thomas, Linda St. John, Louise Beique Austin, Sue VanVolkingburgh, and Kathyrn Griffith. We shared many laughs and many cries since my diagnosis with cancer. A big heart-felt thank you to my extended family (too many to name but you know who you are) who also supported me in many different ways. I refer to these extended family members as my brothers and sisters. Last but not least a big hug to Dr. Verma and his team who cared for me through my illness. Dr. Verma you are such a compassionate person-you not only treat the disease but you also care/look after the person with the disease and their family. I don't have enough words or appropriate words to describe how I feel. I was very fortunate to have you as my oncologist along with your team. Thank you to the Palliative Care team (CCAC) for all of your support. A thank you from the heart, to my friends since school days. We had many a good time together and hearty laughs. Your support was very appreciated.
