Obituary of Frances Mary Legris

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother at Hospice Renfrew after a courageous battle with cancer on October 25, 2013. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joan Daley (Frank Belanger) and Gary (Debbie). Beloved wife of the late M.J. Legris. Dear sister of Alice Jeffrey, Ambrose Yutronkie, Doreen Burant, and Jerome Utronkie all of Round Lake. Predeceased by siblings Stella Coulas, Bronis Utronkie, Agnes Yantha, Theresa Visneskie and Peggy Smith. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Frances was the eldest child of the late Alex Yutronkie and Mary Visneskie of Round Lake. Predeceased by her best friend Max Yaraskavitch. She was the loving Grandmother of Joel Daley (Tammy) of Vancouver, Sarah Daley (Paul Hackbarth), Jessica Belanger, Jason (Tracy), and Francine (Corey Jackson) all of Renfrew, and Great-Grandmother of Tyler, Theresa, Jessica, Carter D, Carter J, Ethan, Tanner, Landon and Liam. Frances will be remembered for her great kindness and gentle manner in the many years she worked as a caregiver at Bonnechere Manor. She will be missed by many of her former co-workers there. As a long-time active member of the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Catholic Women's League and she will also be remembered by her many sisters in the League. Frances was a woman of great faith and filled her life with prayer and especially was devoted to praying the rosary each day. She was prepared for death and accepted it with peace and submission as a sign of God's will, which she always considered sacred.
