Obituary of Barry Eugene Douglas Yantha

(Proud Farmer) Born May 14, 1944, Timmins, ON - Deceased May 14,2014 Renfrew Victoria Hospital It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barry after a lengthy illness and a more recent courageous bout with cancer. His wife Eva and cousin Lorrie Brennan were by his side. He was the proud son of the late Paul and Amelia (Smaglinskie) Yantha. Predeceased by brother Murray Yantha 07/07/07. Loving husband of his farming partner Eva (Cunningham) whom he married on October 2, 1971, after making sure the work was done in the fall. Barry farmed most of his life. He worked at the Dept. of highways snowplowing in the winter months. From 1996-2001 Barry worked for the Renfrew County School board as a "Mopologist"-his term for janitor. In the winter months he had side jobs snow blowing for neighbours and delivering baby farm animals. Fondly remembered by his loving aunt Sally and Robert Sinclair of Toronto and Aunt Ann and Daryl Barstead of Manotick, Uncle Emile (Elsie-deceased) Missuda of Texas. Eva's family , Dick and Mary Cunningham, Mary Kavanagh, Joe & Teresa Cunningham, Carmel Cunningham, Laura & Don Broome, Irene Yantha, Adele Coulas and Ron LeBlanc, His Godchildren, Nancy Audet (J.R.), Sandra Smaglinksie (Gary), Shaun Cunningham, Matthew Jones, John Lorbetskie, Matt St. Louis & Family, Chris Burant and Family. Barry will be sadly missed by good friends, Kent & Lynn Storie, Sandy Krysisnski, Albert, Andrew and Tom Prince. Murray's family Grace Yantha-Blimkie (Frank), Laurie and Gerry, Jacqueline and Geremy and Rob Yantha. Barry leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, friends and good neighbours.
