Service

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Friday June 12th at 10:30 am. Interment Parish Cemetery.

Obituary of Lawrence Ambrose Freemark

Peacefully at home in Renfrew June 9, 2009 in his 85th year. Devoted husband of Diana McCormack and loving father of Tim, Carol, Michael (Peg), Judy (Vern Prentice), and David (Anne). Predeceased by daughter Debbie. Proud grandfather of Christine, Sarah, Leo, Alexandra, Erin, Maureen and Sam Freemark, Janet, Michael, Stephanie, and Colin Prentice. Survived by sisters Marjorie, Trudy, Maureen and brother Frank. Predeceased by brothers Andy, Stan, Phil, and Tommy. As a young man Lornie served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Navy (DEMS), played professional hockey after the War in England, then returned to Renfrew to begin his life with Diana. While working for Canada Post, he and Diana raised 6 children and enjoyed more than 60 years of marriage. Lornie instilled his passion for hunting, fishing, hockey, and golf in his children. He will be greatly missed and memories forever cherished. We love you.
