So many wonderful tributes to Terry. He truly touched way more lives than he even realized whether it was in his role as a respected police officer, coach, friend, son, husband and dad. Terry was an exceptional man. It was a pleasure to know him and to have worked with him. Terry was one of the few men I've known in my life that I felt had his life and priorities in proper alignment. I respected him greatly.

Not only was Terry a pivotal member of our community but he was a sacred treasure in our family. Growing up under the watchful eye of Terry was a comfort and having him in our family was beyond words. Terry was a strength and his sense of humour always kept us laughing.
He loved to pop by our house every Halloween and "police check" our candy just to make sure there was nothing shady. As we got older, we knew it was really for his cut of the treats and that Andrea would not let him eat all that junk at home.
Being a part of Terry's bunch meant something to us and just mentioning his name came with so much respect and merit. His memory will live on with our stories and jokes and hopefully give us some comfort that he is resting in a better place.

Ringette was a huge part of my childhood. Not only did I love the game, but I loved the people. Going to practices and games multiple times a week and travelling to tournaments all over the province; those people become your family. Terry was a dedicated ringette dad who often drove me to practice and was always there to give me a high five and congratulate me on a game well played, but also to cheer me up when we lost. These things may seem insignificant to most people, but he will never know how much of an influence he had on my life. While working for the Renfrew Police in the early 1980's - I was called in by Chief Evans who introduced me to a new Constable - Terry McIntyre. He advised me I would be his training officer. I could see this young fellow with reddish face and curly hair was chompin at the bit to get going and go we did . For six years he was my partner and I must say one of the best I ever worked with. A good family man - a good church man -
