I was so very disappointed I didn't get to Laura's wake and funeral. I didn't know of her death until it was too late. Laura lived beside my daughter and I, on Bank St.. We became close friends. After my house burnt, Laura invited use to move in with her. She shared her recipes and taught me how to crochet, and was so sweet to my daughter (Jessica) she was 3yr.s at the time. Laura would knit little outfits for Jessica's Babies and dolls. Jessica had so much fun with Buffy, Laura's beloved little dog. Laura missed Buffy so very much after he passed away. She loved little dogs. (Little jiggers) she would say. After Laura moved back to Renfrew, I would visit her with my little dog Pepper. How she loved to cuddle her in her arms when we came for a visit. I will miss her stories, and strong will. Condolence to her family. Patricia Marshall. Brockville, On

We are so sorry we weren't able to attend Laura's wake and funeral. We didn't know about her death until it was too late. Laura was a neighbor of ours on Patrick Ave. for many years. Her and Henry use to spoil our children and we loved them very much. Laura was a very kind person and we will miss her. Our deepest condolences to all of you.

Many memories flood back over the years. "Aunt" Laura was one of my late mother, Freda (Vincent) Skelly's best friends from the time I was a baby and someone also, very special to me in this life. We did our best to keep in touch with each other by visits or calls over these many years. I so loved her memories of shared Ontario Hydro Construction colony life. I am so thankful to have shared a last precious visit with her in Renfrew this past summer. Heartfelt and sincere condolences to all Laura's immediate loved ones/family and friends. I grieve and miss her with you and wish I could be there for her memorial service. Laura always shared her love of the Lord and it's with blessed assurance that she has "arrived" in Heaven. Hello Dyanne.
I just wanted to pass on to you my condolences with regard to the passing of your mom as I will be working on the day of her funeral and so will not see you in person. She was quite a warrior and just kept on going. A real "Energizer Bunny". I liked talking to her. She had a very good memory. We used to joke about my teasing you up north (sorry about that). I will miss her. My mom passed away 30 years ago today (Jan. 14/84)
God bless you Dyanne.

I want to express our sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of our dear friend "Laura P." Laura was introduced to my family through my mom and dad; Armand and Pat Lepine and I am forever grateful for the loving memories that I now carry. Laura welcomed my family, knew my children and grandchildren well. She genuinely cared for others and loved my family as well as my extended family greatly. She was definitely part of our family! Laura and I shared the Lord Jesus in conversation every chance we got and I truly saw the light of Jesus shine through her. I am honoured to have known her here on earth and I know we will meet again in heaven as what my dad Armand has said.....you can see, hear and move perfectly now!!! Laura.......your smile will always be remembered and I rejoice knowing that you are absent from this earthly body....but present with Our Lord...Glorious!! Love you! I am very saddened to learn of the passing of Laura. She was a wonderful woman who I enjoyed seeing very much. She was always very excited to see ( or hear) from me and always welcomed me and my children and grandchildren with open arms and with warmth. She was a true treasure! We had dinners and visits at my home in White lake and the conversations were always lively and interesting.
Visiting her at her apartment or at Quail Creek or the Manor was always cheerful and she was generous with both her kindness and her stories. I learned so much from her about the past. She spoke with such fondness of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren - and her years growing up! She was a woman who seemed to always make the best of any situation!
She will be greatly missed by our family as Laura became a member of our family years ago when she frst met my mom and dad - Armand and Patricia Lepine.
Good bye Laura. You will be missed!

Don & Wilma, Del & Judith and Dyanne & Bob,
Thank you for sharing your Mother with me.
My dear Laura as I know you are now walking hand in hand with Jesus it gives me great comfort knowing that you can now see all, hear all, know all, and be in the present of all your loved ones.
What joy you are experiencing.
Here you have touched so many lives and the least of all mine. Your love, your kindness, your analytic skills, pride in your children, grandchildren, and the great grandchildren and most of all patience. Not only with others but yourself. Especially with your eyesight and hearing. You have and are an inspiration for many.
During times of my need….. "you" were there for me, we shared fun times, cooking together, beans, buns, pies, tried receipts that I never dreamed of, some didn't turn out, we laughed, we cried and you comforted me with no strings. We were and are the greatest of friends. You are in my heart for all eternity. You are my Lilly & Rose.
Love, Armand……….
