Obituary of George Basil Rand

(Veteran W.W. 2) Peacefully at the Garden Terrace, Ottawa, on Sunday June 19, 2016, George Rand, age 102 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Rose Rand for 68 years. George was born on April 20, 1914 in Surrey, England. Loving father of Frances (Michael LeBelle), Father Kevin Rand, Mafr, Catherine (Richard McManus) and Constance (Dave Gibson). Proud grandfather of Christopher (Holly), Charles (Michelle), and Matthew (Olivia) and great-grandfather of Avery, Nolan, Roman, Aleksandra and Noah. George will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. His strong positive spirit and passion for life has served him for many wonderful years. Visitations at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S., Renfrew, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Wednesday June 22nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Peter Celestine Cemetery, Pakenham.
