Dear family. My heart felt condolences to all of you. I was thinking about George on this Remembrance Day. I interviewed him in 2010 in the Netherlands. Although I only spoke to him for a short time I felt he was such a nice person. The subject was the war, and he was an honoust veteran, downplaying his part in the great good. I hope you have received the article I wrote about him and I still have the video recording from 2010 if you're interested. Best regards, Arthur van Beveren.

To the family of George , Gord and I had the pleasure of meeting George on our first tour ever to Holland, for the celebration of the 70th Anniversary, since the Liberation. It was incredible, We will not forget those amazing days share with George and the way that Holland treated our Canadian Veterans, like Kings and Queens. So thank you George for serving our country. I knew George all my life - growing up in Renfrew - he was a year older than me but we were very good friends during my teenage years and before - it was always a pleasure to stop by at Legion functions a nd the Silver Seniors functions and have a chat with George - He was a good man and he will be missed - Condolences to his family -
