Dear Keith & Bonnie
My sympathy to you and all of Jack's family. He was such a pleasure to know and be with during his time at Groves Park Lodge. I will always remember his big smile and the love and caring he gave to Mary. May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Fay

It is obvious from previous comments that Jack was a well respected and loved man, by family friends and co-workers. In his retirement years, Jack & Mary were a great team doing electrical projects, one of which was at our home, it was the cleanest work site ever, Jack doing his usual meticulous job, and Mary following with the broom.
Jack had many friends at Huyck Canada, where he worked for many years both in Canada and out of the country.
Jack was a good friend who will be missed by many.

It has been said in many of the condolences posted here that Jack was a good man. And it is such an appropriate expression of my, and my children’s (3 of the mentioned grandchildren), memories of him. He was also quiet, soft-spoken, kind, and thoughtful. We have many fond memories of our visits to Renfrew. Jack playing tricks on the kids, frightening them with his “Pierre Trudeau” mask, giving them treasures he had found and fixed up, made, or bought for them. Plying them with chocolate milk and cookies. I was also aware of the many kind acts Jack and Mary provided to their friends, neighbours, and stray animals in Renfrew. Jack was very helpful and supportive of me– installing ceiling fans in my home, and advising and helping me find an affordable but reliable car to buy. I never remember him saying an unkind word about anybody. His love, care, and support of Mary was inspirational. He will always be remembered and loved.

John was a good man. Hard to believe that he had a total of 13 siblings. When i was a little kid i remember how exciting it was when John and Mary showed up at the cabin in Bramber Hants County. They would stay w/ Marge and Lawrence at their cabin. Also the dog they would always bring named Bimbo. I forget the Classic Car he always drove from Renfrew to Nova Scotia. Nevertheless it was indeed a Masterpiece. I also remember when he let me borrow a Conway Twitty cassette to put in my Walk-man. Also one Summer in the early 80's he bought a second-hand toy wagon for my younger brother Jeffrey. It needed some TLC so he bought some spray-paint at the local hardware store and kindly painted the Wagon for Jeff. My brother was like a kid in a candy store all that summer. I thought that was a nice gesture on John's behalf. He even threw some Horse-Shoes and teamed up either w/ Lawrence and sometimes Dad (Gary) or our mechanic (Ray) or Grandad. (Earle) All this seems just like yesterday. It really does. Nevertheless John lived a solid 86 yrs. I remember one Summer we visited him and Mary in Renfrew Ontario. (me, Kenny, Mark, Marge and my crazy ole Uncle Lawrence) We drove from NS to stay w/ them for a few days. After that we drove to Thorold near St.Catharines and visited their other brother Carl. Good times indeed. Thanks for the awesome memories Johnny. I'll be sure to put on a Conway Twitty tune in your Honour. Ta ta for now. From Mikey. Cheers to the fun times in Bramber at the Cabin. Your and Mary's presence during those Summer's will live on forever and ever. Amen.

The Kehoe Family
Sending condolences to all of you! Your memories of John will stay with you forever. I remember him when I was young 8 or 10 John coming to visit my grandmother (Ruth Kehoe Redden) in Martock NS and there would be so much laughter, and then there was a family reunion at his brother's Lawrence and Marge home several years ago and nothing had changed....more laughter! What a fun family. I am close to Lawrence and Marge so I hear many crazy stories of these brothers. Cherish your memories!❤️ My husband Paul Shaw (Vernon Shaw family had connections to the Kehoe family. Grammy Rae Kehoe did housework for them and baking....I don't know how she had time but she did. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

To the children, grandchildren, great grandchild and all other family members, remember all those special moments that you shared with Uncle Jack and especially remember the stories. I know he liked to talk about the homestead in Martock a lot and especially some of the shenanigans that all of them including my own Father use to get in to. In addition to that he brought such courage strength and wisdom to all that he would do in every day life. He was a person who would literally give you the shirt off his back and not ask for it back.
I will miss seeing and talking with him but I know too that he is very happy to no longer be experiencing any pain and despair. Rest peacefully and I know one day that I will have the pleasure of talking with you again about life in Martock and beyond.
God Bless and lots of love,
Brian

My sincerest sympathies to the family of Jack at his passing. He had a long struggle with Parkinson's and he bore it with dignity. I am the cousin of Kevin and Colleen and the godson of their mother, Mary. Unfortunately I have a funeral in my own church Friday morning and will not be able to attend the service in Renfrew. But know all of you are in my prayers. May Jack be with God, and those who have gone before him.
My brother Robert does not have internet access and I want to extend his condolences as well.
