Obituary of Geraldine Marion

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mary Geraldine Marion (nee McMahon) on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in her 85th year, in Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, surrounded by her family and after years of illness. Beloved wife of the late Allan Isidore Marion for 52 years. Devoted mother of Michael-Allan (Elaine), Deborah (Ian Folkard) and Denyse (Steven Heller). Proud Grandmother of Danielle and Marc-Allan Marion and Rachelle Marion Heller, and great-grandmother of Ashton Sacha Alksnis and Emily Wasylenko. Predeceased by father John McMahon and mother Edna (nee Menard), and by brothers James, Frank and Tommy. Survived by brothers J. Rae, Patrick and Reginald and sister Sharon. Geraldine was an elementary school teacher who instructed classrooms in Hamilton, Ottawa, Renfrew and Haley while raising a family. Friends may call at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S, Renfrew, Ontario on Friday October 28th, from 7-9pm and after 12 noon Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Church, Renfrew, on Saturday October 29th at 1:30 p.m. Interment parish cemetery.
