The instant we met Joan, we couldn't resist loving this sweet woman. Her family meant the world to her and she will be sadly missed. Your mother was a fine woman. We had met her several times and she was a loving and friendly person. Our condolences to you Chris, Rod and Lorna and your families for your loss. We would like to offer this poem written by Nancy Wood as a remembrance of Joan. Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here. Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go. Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

When I first met Joan out in Calabogie, she really got my attention. She was so pleasant and interesting to converse with. We chatted for the longest time and I must admit, I could never forget her sense of calmness and her intelligence. Please accept my deepest condolences for your great loss. She was truly a Beautiful Woman.

Go In Peace Mrs. Morgan, my condolences to Lorna, Roddy, Chris and the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. I have always known her as Mrs. Morgan, it is just now that I learn of her first name; Joan. Thank you for showing me your pictures during my visit. I am sorry I will not be able to join on Jan 14 as I have an Inuit community event planned for the same day. You are in my thoughts.
