Obituary of Simon Patrick James Kelly

With saddened hearts, Simon went peacefully to be with the love of his life on Friday April 7, 2017 at the age of 92. Simon was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline (nee Fournier) on December 26, 2013. Much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his six children, Mary, Michael (Linda), Colleen (Hans Tietz), Jack (Catherine), Grace (Peter Hanniman) and Ann (Donald Limlaw). He had 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren to carry on his legacy. He is survived by his sister Theresa Hanniman and predeceased by his siblings Lucy Colterman, John, Agnes and Mary. Simon will be missed by his best friend King Hawes, his hunting and fishing buddy and Jim New Jr. (unofficial adopted son). Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S Renfrew on Tuesday April 11th from 2-4, 7-9 pm and after 9 am Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Mount St. Patrick on Wednesday April 12th at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow. Donations to Hospice Renfrew or St. Patrick’s Church would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the 2nd floor nurses of RVH and the Hospice for the compassion, hugs and amazing care that they gave to our Dad.
