My Condolences to Mr. D ‘s Family.
Randle Donnelly( Mr.D ) was one of the best teachers in my life when I was student of Calabogie Public School. A lot of great memories. He would make learning so much fun with his humour and his stories when he was our age . He really broke down the barriers between student and teacher. I a lot of us at CPS thought of him as one of the gang. Will always remember the school trips and track meets . There were always a lot of picture slide shows of the events afterwards. He loved music and we all were surprised by his record collection and his drumming abilities when invited to his home for the end of school swim party. He made quite an impression on bunch of kids in Calabogie Public School and their families. I can only imagine what he did for other students in the years to come when he continue to teach. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Donnelly’s Family and friends.

Sorry to hear of Randle's passing. Condolences to all. When I first went to the city for a job he allowed me to stay in his apartment for a short time until I could find a place of my own. What I remember most is his Huge record collection. In my eyes it still is a record. RIP.

Dear Jane and family,
My deepest condolences on your tremendous loss. Randle had a heart of gold and the world has lost a man who really was a treasure. A treasured teacher to his students, a kind and gentle treasured husband, father, friend who always had that crazy little sparkle in his eye, that great warm smile. There are so many of us that are going to miss him. Jane my dear, for once words fail me. I can't think of a thing to say that could possibly make you hurt less. But remember this my friend. He was loved, oh he was so loved. His legacy lives on and he left a GOOD mark on this earth. So God bless you all in your time of sorrow and to you "Randolpho". I will never let anyone call me Orlando again ..that was you that gave me that nickname in high school and it just wouldn't sound right coming from someone else. So until we meet again old friend, bang those drums so we all can hear you,
Love, "Orlando" and Lonnie Nickell

Farewell to you Mr. 'D'. ~ May your journey onward be as nurturing, fun, and embracing as you made each day in your classroom. Thank you for making each day interesting and challenging, and for putting music into our lives wholeheartedly, and with genuine passion. Music breaks down barriers and creates unity, and even heals the soul! You were wise to this. What an empowering lesson you shared with us. Mostly, Thank you for making a mid-year transition into your classroom fit for my sister, and myself. You turned a rather difficult move into a wonderful, fun, memorable adventure for us both. I am ever grateful for your positive influence at a challenging time in our lives. Farewell Mr. 'D. Most sincere condolences to family & friends ~You were most fortunate to have such a bright beacon amongst you!

Sorry for your loss Jane, I remember Randle very well, for years while working at Cuffs Audio he would come in almost every other day after working as a teacher at RCI to buy records. One of the best clients we ever had and super nice guy. I was hoping to lend him a pair of speakers that I designed and built with a friend of mine for the winter. He had an incredible love for music, great ear, a hoarder or should I say collector of music media. From people I have talked to he was a super teacher, great musician and all round good guy.
Jane, instead of me saying sorry for your loss, I will say celebrate the life you had with him and all the great things he did as a teacher, friend, father, husband. It brings nothing back to like it was.
Your friend

Randle was an exceptional person all of his life. Nothing deterred his positive attitude and he brought brightness where ever he went.
I have many fond memories of playing on stage with Randle and always appreciated when he would drop into music class at Queen Elizabeth School and play drums with the students.
I wish to express my sincere condolences to his treasured family members and friends.

Mrs. Donnelly and family,
Mr. Donnelly was my grade 7 & 8 teacher at Calabogie Public School approximately 40 years ago. I have wonderful memories of him, one of my favourite teachers along with Keith Eady. I remember playing basketball outside after school with friends and out Mr. Donnelly would come to head home but he always stayed and had a game or two with us. He also subbed in as my dance partner at a school dance-a-thon until my date got there and then of course the Renfrew track meet where he took us all to your house for lunch and a swim and a little drum playing too. Those are the kind of memories kids remember so please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time.
