Colin was an amazing friend. I loved hearing his stories of flying and back in the day when he travelled. He will be missed so much.
I will remember all the good times Colin and I shared.
He was a trooper and loved going for walks in the park.
Thank you Mary Rose for being there for Colin. Thank you for the day we arranged so I could talk to Colin in December.
Please accept my condolences.
I am so sad to hear about Colin.
Marie

It brought a smile to my face to read of the many stories Colin told his family of his flying adventures. Having flown with Colin, we had a few ourselves, and he kept me entertained during long flights with his incredible stories. A true original, Colin is a colourful string in the rich fabric that is Canadian aviation. What makes aviation so special isn’t the aircraft, but the people you meet. Colin was one of the best.

Mary Rose, you were the true sunshine in your big brother's world these last few months. He knew his day was complete with a visit from you and all the love, comfort and gentleness you brought to his day. I hope your family can draw comfort knowing all you brought to Colin. We are away this week and I cannot attend the service but felt it important that you know I saw a very special brother/ sister relationship through an extremely emotional time.

My condolences to all of the Humphry family. Colin was a very special cousin. I recall, as a young kid at Rhoddy's Bay, hearing that Colin would be coming down for a visit. What excitement there was knowing that all of the cousins would hear about more of Colin's adventures; he was such a storytelller that left us spellbound! Colin was a gentle soul. He will be fondly remembered!

My thoughts are with you, the Humphry family, with the loss of Colin, a sweet and gentle spirit. It will never be contested that Colin was the best storyteller at Rhoddy's Bay campfires, a young thespian in our midst. I can only remember Colin with great fondness and chuckle at his teenage impishness, even when running after me through our cottage, shaking a dead snake! Such a lot of fun we had in our large extended family.
Rest in peace dear Colin.

So sorry to hear of Colin's passing. I remember being one of the kids down at Rhodes Bay gathered around to listen to Colin recite an episode of the Untouchables. He had us all spellbound. Fond memories indeed. I'm not sure heaven is where he may be going but probably Valhalla with all the other adventurers. Rest in Peace Colin

Colin's adventurous spirit, his passion for flying and love of family define who he was as a person. Colin was equally confident travelling alone or with other people. I still remember the trip we took with another friend across Canada in a VW in 1969. I will never forget that trip nor the time we spent together growing up at home during our school years. I also admire Colin for his tenacity, determination and independent spirit during some of the more challenging periods of his life.
Colin, your ability to tell stories was "magical" and your passion for flying and the skills you honed in that area I have always admired. However, more than anything else, I have always looked up to and respected you as the eldest brother and sibling in our family. Your care and concern for family was well known to all of us. I miss you already but know that you are now in a "better place". I love and think of you always.
Your younger brother,
David
