Dear Rachel and siblings,
I'm just learning today of Jessie's passing. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. Losing the last parent is always the hardest, as we have them with us the longest.
In he last few months of settling Mom's estate came across some items belonging to Grandma Henderson that Jessie had sent to Mom several years ago. Such a kind lady.

Dear Matt, Sharon, Rachel, Sheila, Tammy, Pierrette and families.
I'm sorry to hear that your mom passed away.
It's been years since I've seen your mom but If I close my eyes, I can still picture her sitting with your dad, on the bench, watching over "all" the kids ( and then their children) swim. I can see her smile, I can see her shaking her head at your dads, off the cuff humour. She and your dad always had an open door policy and welcomed others as family. I don't think I ever saw her angry - well except for that little Renfrew neighbour incident eh Matt. :)

Know that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow even though we cannot be there. Auntie Jessie is now resting peacefully at Uncle Lew's side where she is meant to be. I imagine they are dancing a jig and have broken out the cards by now. Many a memories running the farm while those card games took place in the summer kitchen.

The first year I curled, Jessie was our team skip, we won every game we played in the first roster and won the coveted trophy.
