Hi Ruth,
Ted here in Walkerton.
Tom had the ability to make anyone welcome into a conversation or a social setting. You could approach a table where he was seated and he would make you feel like you had been invited specially to attend the event.
His sense of humour and timing of Jokes was very professoinal.
He was accommodating but also had a very skilled people reading skill. He could sense a persons dynamic and interpret it fast, to the point where that person would feel immediately welcome into that social setting.
He was a kind soul. A gentle soul.
I am sorry he is gone, but glad he is not suffering any more.
I am very glad that YOU are not suffering as much, suddenly, and that you will be having to put your life into a new order, a new organization mode.

To the person (Tom) who I knew, and you the person who was closest to him, I offer you a thing to think about. We all are intertwined with our mate, and from that you will never, ever get over the pain and memories. But may you have Family and Friends that will keep your mind off the severe pain, and may you think about the great times you had with Tom for the rest of your life. and may you stay busy for a while to deal with the emotion.
