Everyone I know called her Jean, but she will always be Jeannie to me.
In the summers when Jeannie came to visit us on our farm in PEI, it was like Christmas came in the summer. Although Jeannie was 15 years older, she always treated me with kindness, respect, and her equal in every way. She truly cared.
When I lived in Toronto I loved travelling to Renfrew to visit Jeannie and Terry. There were many laughs, great meals, and wonderful conversations. Even out looking at the beautiful stars at night were adventures filled with laughter.
I am so grateful to have had the time I've had with Jeanne and value very much the gift of her love and friendship.
Jeannie, you are missed.
