I’m so sorry to just now hear of the passing of your dear Aunt Aileen! I was friends with her for many years and then sadly I moved and we lost touch. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold and a compassionate, loving spirit for all those she cared for in her career and personal life. I’m so sorry for your loss. A void that will always be empty. Please accept my sincerity condolences and prayers.

I was sorry to hear of Eileen's passing. I missed the announcement otherwise I would have attended the funeral. She was a great help when my stepmother died and she came to the funeral with Elizabeth. In that past couple of years, she was in our art class at the manor. She actually had a good eye for drawing. May she rest in peace.

I met this beautiful lady when I was teenager. I was friends with Margie and going to spend the night. Turns out she worked with my Mom (Josephine McNulty) and they were friends. Spent lots of visits with Mom at the Bonnechere Manor taking her down to the first floor to visit Aileen. Every time I mentioned Margie or Monnie's name her eyes lit up.

Aunt Aileen was more of a Grandma than an Aunt to Ashley and I. We loved everything about her and are so happy to have had the time we had with her. As a kid I remember thinking she was extremely special and had a direct line to God, in my mind they were best friends. Her faith was contagious and so was her joy. We are better people for having her influence in our lives, especially through our younger years. We will miss her and remember her always. I have attached a poem Ashely and I wrote as a tribute to how we felt about her.

I came to meet this wonderful lady in my teens , when Monnie and Margie and I met in high school, spent many times sitting at their table , she was a great cook, and a wonderful person . I will forever remember her soft voice and sweet smile. She is indeed an angel up above as she always was here on earth. Rest easy now you raised your family into fine men and women and I personally know each and everyone of them will be eternally grateful . Love always Charlene

I have uploaded two more photos of Auntie Aileen, taken December 31, 2011, the day of Martin Munhall's funeral, at the lodge Uncle Dan was living in at the time (Groves Park?). I also have, in that folder, photos which Auntie Aileen took on that day, with my smart phone. She was fascinated by this piece of technology; I still remember her giggling as she scanned and clicked, enjoying the ease.
