Obituary of Major Joseph Arthur DAVID Lorente

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Husband and Dad at the age of 92. David passed away on Saturday January 2nd at the Perley Rideau Veteran's Home. Beloved husband of Kay Gollinger. Predeceased by his wife Dina Watt. Dear Dad of the late David (Judith), Dan (JoAnne), Jane (John), Don (Fei Min), Doug and Desmond (Jacquelyn). Dear grandpa of Adam, Anthony, Calli, Jonathan, Christopher, Samantha, Keita, Kirin, Breyan (Sarah), Caitlin (Thomas), Hannah and Grace. Predeceased by his two granddaughters Deanna and Jenna. David will be fondly remembered by his sister Joan (late Dr. Rod Irving). Predeceased by his brother Gerald (late Marie) and Arthur. David was a teacher for many years. He taught at St. Pat's College in Ottawa and then he moved to Renfrew where he was a teacher at the Renfrew Collegiate Institute for over 30 years. He was also the Founder of Home Children Canada. A private visitation and service will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S, Renfrew. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
