Obituary of Joseph Justin Reid

On February 14^th, 2018 our beloved dad and poppa, Joseph Justin (Dusty) Reid, passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, at the age of 96.  Joseph was born on December 28, 1921 in Hope River, PEI to the late Flora(O’Connor) and Joseph Reid.  He served in the Air Force from 1941-1946 and then in the army from 1954-1970.   He resided in Renfrew from 1983-2018, his last years spent in Quail Creek Retirement Home.  Joseph is predeceased by his first wife Dorothy Mary (Byranton) . Dusty will be lovingly remembered by his children Justin Gordon Reid, Vancouver BC and daughter Debbie Reid, Stratford, PEI and granddaughter Michelle Reid, Ibiza, Spain.   Dusty is also predeceased by his second wife Kathleen(Culhane) Lalonde.  Dusty will be lovingly remembered by his step children, Larry(Gini) of Whitby, ON, Leona Curzon, Kingston, ON, Ron(Pat), Whitby, ON, Randy, Renfrew, ON, Don (Stephanie), Ottawa, ON, Darcy(Dale), Eganville, ON.  Joseph also had sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.   Visitation will be held for Dusty on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Goulet Funeral Home , 310 Argyle St, S, Renfrew.  Dusty will be laid to rest in Kensington, PEI at the People’s Cemetery.
