I would like to share a few photos of the highly respected Mr. Ray Kane as a cub leader from long ago in Val d'Or Quebec. One of my greatest memories as a youth growing up during the 60's. Please accept my sincere condolences.

To Ben & all of Ray's wonderful family:
Looking at that wonderful smile of Ray's shows what a proud man he was pictured at His favorite place -'Hurds Lake Scouting Camp'
He was so much a part of building that camp over the years & creating the ultimate camping experience for all those little campers. A Kinder, Gentler Man I do not know! Never a harsh word! For years even after I was no longer Mayor of Renfrew -he ensured that I was always invited to the Scout Camp week Special Dinner & camp fire. I will miss you there Ray.
(Ray) "Grey Wolf" your spirit will live on at that camp & in the dancing flames of the camp fire. I am Blessed to call you friend!
Special Condolences to Susan Flemming -for your amazing Friendship with Ray-he so enjoyed coming to the Golden Age Centre - and you always made that possible for him....may his friendship & smiles always be with you and bring a warm feeling in your heart.

It was a pleasure to serve this kind and gentle man, for many years at my barber shop. He respected the views of others and gave sound advice for survival in an uncertain world. His contributions to community are countless and he gave freely, without looking for thanks or acknowledgement. He touched many lives during his time with us and we are all better for it. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Our thoughts & prayers are with Rays family. Ray was a wonderful man. We were so lucky to hear some of his stories threw scouts. Carter enjoyed being at the camp learning & helping Grey Wolf. We will cherish the memories spent with him and all of his knowledge.
He will be deeply missed by a lot of people.

My sincerest sympathy to Ray's family on his passing. Although he never had any children of his own, he had a big "adopted family" of boys through the Boy Scout movement; my son was one of the lucky ones to have benefited from his dedication.. He will be missed.
